If needed, Chin's can be installed along any edge in both sides of the window, with the two tapered edges of each chamber meeting in the middle of the windows edge between the unit in the rough opening.
Builders or Dallas window installers may shim before they call the opening, then remove the shims in the window unit, call the frame, and then reset the unit in shims. Once they know the replacement of the shims, they can replace them in the same location, check for level, plumbing and square, and then screw or nail the windows into place.
